Patterns of Happiness by Kahlil Gibran, illustrated by George Kauffman

$10.00

Halmark Editions, 1971. Cloth, dj, octavo, illustrated in color throughout. Printed in specially selected match colors on Gold Sonata Vellum by Hopper. Dustjacket has some edge-wear with a small closed tear; book in near fine.

We don't know anything about the illustrator, but, whoa, these M.C. Escher meets Roger Brown meets Tolkien meets, uh, the greeting card industry, are so striking. Feels like 1971 around here with some high mark hippie vibes. And the gold sonata choice for the pages is a perfect glow (greeting cards is a tight industry). Designed by Jay D. Johnson.
